How to maintain excavators in winter

The first trick: fully preheat the excavator before starting winter operations, the engine should run at a low speed for 5 minutes, in the preheating process to check whether the excavator oil leakage, oil warning light is off, charging indicator light is off, the engine sound and exhaust color is normal, the machine parts are abnormal. After the engine is preheated, the hydraulic device should be preheated by operating the excavator for various slow movements to prevent damage to the hydraulic device caused by rapid operation.

Second trick: Replace diesel and oil in winter when the temperature around the excavator becomes low, the viscosity of various oils in the fuselage will increase, and the excavator will become difficult to start. At this time, the operator should choose light diesel with low freezing point and good ignition performance and replace the oil with a higher label.

The third trick: Pay attention to the storage capacity of the excavator battery The lower the ambient temperature, the lower the storage capacity of the excavator battery, and the operator should pay attention to keeping the excavator battery warm. There are several methods can be used for reference: first, prepare a quilt to cover the battery location to keep it warm; The second is to directly remove the battery from the fuselage and store it in a warm room, and then install it when used.

The fourth trick: Cooling water needs to be discharged in time. When adding antifreeze to the cooling system in winter, add it in accordance with the proportion of the lowest temperature. If the excavator needs to be parked for a period of time, pay attention to empty the cooling water in the engine at this time. When the water is discharged, the excavator should run at idle speed before extinguishing, and then turn off the water when the cooling water temperature drops below 60℃. Pay attention to be sure to completely discharge the remaining water in the body, so as not to freeze and expand, so as to crack the body.
